What do you mean plan of action? Let them have human rights on the playground...I do not understand your hatred towards this? Is it not okay for all to remain equal among others? please explain why you think this is a bad thing, so i can reply with my finale decision.
Woah... I had completely forgotten the connection. I saw on the front page of yesterday's local newspaper that this program is being introduced into my local public school corp, which I just graduated from last week...
"EMPOWERING EDUCATION: New Human Rights Program getting Rave Reviews at Vigo County School Corp."
That's Terre Haute's public school system, by the way.
Hehe, that's actually the newspaper in the link... Tribune Star
I noticed in a recent article of the Tribune-Star that the Vigo County School Corp is using the Youth for Human Rights program. While I agree with the purpose and respect the intentions of incorporating this program, I implore you to research more into the background of this program.
I know that this will sound far-fetched and conspiracy-like, but please hear me out. Youth for Human Rights International is a front group and recruitment scheme of the Church of Scientology. As you may or may not be aware, the Church of Scientology is an extremely controversial organization responsible for the deaths of 23 innocent people (see: Lisa McPherson, Shawn Lonsdale, Noah Lottick) and the largest infiltration of the US Government in history (see: Operation Snow White). It is an organization that takes revenge on anyone who stands up against them (see: Fair Game), which is why I ask that although I am "signing" this letter, please do not spread my name with it beyond the VCSC administration. They give false promises to grant magical powers to anyone who devotes 30 years of servitude and $380,000 to them.
Ursula Caberta, the Commisioner for the Scientology Task Force of the Hamburg Interior Authority, a Scientology watchdog group. stated the the Youth for Human Rights International is one of a number of Scientology-linked groups that mask their connection to the Church of Scientology and seek to attract and recruit the young.
In 1995, the Hamburg Senate released a report on Scientology, describing its structure and the dangers it presented to individuals and society. One passage, citing Scientology documents, clarified the role of all organizations, which, like YHRI, are linked to the church.
"In an internal memo, Scientology described the function of affiliate organizations:
'All organizations and groups form a global network. Each one has its own individual role and responsibilities. But all service organizations have the goal to draw attention to L.Ron Hubbard's technology and deliver it to the public.'
Thus, each activity, however distantly it is related to Scientology, fits into a long-term strategic plan, which is ultimately steered by the highest management."
The Florida Haulocaust Museum complained that YHRI's connection to Scientology was not disclosed when they worked with them to organize at a human rights march in St. Petersburg, Florida in March of 2007.
I respect the decision to teach our youth about human rights, but I implore you to find another program for future use, before more of our youth fall into the trap of Scientology.
I will also be writing to the Tribune-Star and two local news channels, WTHI and WTWO, because the parents of these students need to know what is going on in the classroom.
