I do not know of any state laws, except for the fee involved with obtaining a permit, which ONLY applies if you're protesting on state property, which I have never done. Our Indy protests are on city property, which requires nothing, unless you plan on closing streets or sidewalks, which we don't do. Just make sure that pedestrians are able to walk past us on the sidewalks. Police officers often stop to simply find out what we're doing and remind us, but we've never run into a problem with them. Just be honest if you ask you something.
